Welcome to Spiketon Town, the town bearing the Smash Badge! It is a quiet town, nestled up in the mountains, where the only entrance is a steep, challenging staircase up the side of a mountain, with plenty of caves to get lost in. Gym Leader Mai, a master of ground types has only recently come out of her special training regime to take control and set up the once derelict old gym that stood in the town. Now sparkling new, and showing off the richness of the minerals that form around to town, Mai is ready to take on all in her way in order to highlight just how powerful she is.
Not a very talkative trainer due to her seclusion from people, she has developed the innate ability to see what a Pokemon's feelings are and what their needs are, able to grow a caring and deep bond between them.
The town is the highest natural point of the Shoda Region, and the steep inclines and suddenly rolling boulders make it a treacherous assault on any who come unprepared.
Mai has two friends who have stuck with her through thick and thin ever since they were young, Fabian and Kite. These two, very skilled trainers are ready to stand up to any onslaught to defend the honour of their gym.
Kite has only just reached the rank of gym trainer, but has taken the role to heart. Seemingly naive, Kite has several tricks up his sleeve, with his Landorus by his side, he is an eager and flashy trainer.
Fabian is the logic of the group, a calm, collected but slightly warped trainer. Whenever he decides to open himself up to competition, the earth shakes out of fear of this man's skills.

You have climbed to the top of the mountain, with nothing but your Pokemon to accompany you, now all that is left is the short but mighty struggle to overcome the gym leader, and achieve... The Smash Badge!
