Shoda League: Leader Requirements and Guidelines

To apply as a Leader for a Gym in Shoda:

✔ Tell Enfu that you are interested. Provide the "Type" of the gym that you want to lead.

✔ Set up a a team of up to six (6) Pokémon that contain Pokémon of that "Type".


-The team cannot contain two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number.

-If a Pokémon has multiple forms, you must list in which form your Pokémon will be (or start, if your Pokémon can change forms during battle).

-Each Pokémon on a player's team must be holding different items

-Banned Pokémon: Arceus, Arceus-Bug, Arceus-Dark, Arceus-Dragon, Arceus-Electric, Arceus-Fighting, Arceus-Fire, Arceus-Flying, Arceus-Ghost, Arceus-Grass, Arceus-Ground, Arceus-Ice, Arceus-Poison, Arceus-Psychic, Arceus-Rock, Arceus-Steel, Arceus-Water, Celebi, Chatot, Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Deoxys-D, Deoxys-S, Dialga, Genesect, Giratina, Giratina-O, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Jirachi, Kyogre, Kyurem, Kyurem-B, Kyurem-W, Lugia, Manaphy, Meloetta, Meloetta-S, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Phione, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin, Shaymin-S, Victini, Zekrom

-All movesets / abilities / items must be legal and released.

✔ Have a quick test-battle with Enfu.

✔ If there is already a leader for your preferred type-gym, Enfu will provide options / decide.

If you are approved, you must then do the following to fully become a new Shoda League Leader.

✔ Create a badge name and badge design yourself. Absolutely no copying unoriginal work - being caught will forfeit your application. You may ask Enfu to improve on your original design. Here is a very basic tutorial link for making your badge.

-For many gyms, we may already have old, original badge names and designs. If this is the case, you may simply use the old badges that we have.

✔ Create a Village/Town/City name and short description of it (length is up to you, but this will represent you).

✔ Create a Channel in the Shoda League server using the name of your Village/Town/City (Click here for a quick tutorial).

✔ Create a forum topic HERE (Click this link) for your Gym and/or Village/Town/City. Leave space to list the names of challengers who have officially beat your gym in the league.

Shoda Gym Leader Responsibilities / Expectations:

✔ Leaders are expected to behave appropriately and encouragingly.

✔ Leaders are expected to come and stay in the Shoda League server to some degree of frequency.

-If a leader expects to be away for a long amount of time, he/she must post in the "If you're going to be away / leaving, post here" topic.
-Inactive leaders may be replaced.

✔ Leaders are expected to know and follow the rules for the league and league battles.

✔ Leaders are expected to accept challenges after checking that the challenger has followed the correct rules for issuing a challenge.

-Leaders are only required to accept two (2) challenges per day (by Eastern Standard Time) per challenger.
-If a leader is not Idle, you are required to accept the challenge unless the challenger agrees to postpone the match. Because of this, leaders should stay on "Idle" whenever they are busy.
-If a leader accepts a random challenge while the challenger is in the "Shoda League" tier, then the match will be official. Be warned.

✔ While in a battle,

-Leaders must maintain their appropriateness.
-At the end of the battle, the leader must not close the window before thirty (30) seconds. Acknowledge the victory or loss, and remain appropriate.
-If the challenger won and followed all rules, the leader will hand them the link to their badge and then record the challenger's name in the respective Gym Topic in the forums.


✖ Failure to follow these expectations may lead to removal of the leadership position.
