Shoda League: Challenger Rules
Shoda League - Challenger Rules
Challengers may set up a team of up to six (6) Pokémon.
The Challenger’s Pokémon team must be registered on the "Challenger Registration and Logs" Forum. To register your team, create a new topic and include your name and your team of six (6) Pokémon. Once you create that first post, NEVER EDIT THAT FIRST POST IN THE FUTURE. Any changes, additions, etc., must be made in new posts in that topic.
(Click here to go to the Challenger Registration Forum).
Challengers may face any of the 17 Official League Gyms in any order. (Click here to see the current list of Shoda Leaders.)
IMPORTANT! Challengers MUST be in the "Shoda League" Tier to offer any challenge that will count towards their progress! It is recommended to check the "Save Log" box during the Gym Battle for proof of victory!
It is highly suggested that you send a private message to the Gym Leader before requesting a challenge so that both of you may be ready for a great fight! Please be kind enough to present your Registration Topic link to the Gym Leader so that he can make sure you are properly registered for the league.
Standard Battle Conditions
All battles must follow these conditions unless certain conditions are agreed to by the Challenger and the Gym Leader or Champion. If the Gym Leader accepts a Shoda League challenge without checking the selected conditions, it will still count as having accepted those battle conditions.
If no agreements are made before the battle, these conditions must be followed without argument.
Only one (1) win is necessary to defeat any Gym Leader and obtain the Gym Badge.
If you defeat a Gym Leader, please present the link to your Registration Topic so that the Gym Leader can post a victory message - this will count as an official record of your win. Remember! You MUST check the "Save Log" box during the Gym Battle if you want to save proof of your victory in case of disputes!
After collecting eight ( 8 ) badges, you may face the Shoda League's Elite Four.
After defeating the Elite Four, you may face the Shoda League Champion.

- -Some gyms may have up to three (3) Gym Trainers online.
If there are any of the Gym’s Trainers present at the time that you challenge the gym, you must defeat them before challenging the Gym Leader.
- -It is the Leader's responsibility to ask a challenger if they have defeated their Gym Trainers BEFORE accepting a League Battle. If the challenger hasn't, and the Leader accepts the battle, then the battle will count for the badge regardless.
-Some gyms may have co-leaders. If so, you may defeat any of the gym’s co-leaders for the gym badge. If only one of the co-leaders is present, you will face him / her. If both or all of the co-leaders are present, you may choose which co-leader that you wish to fight for the Gym's badge.

- -A challenger may only challenge each gym personnel twice per day (following Eastern Standard Time). Gym leaders are required to accept those two challenges if they are online and active.
If you defeat a Gym Leader, please present the link to your Registration Topic so that the Gym Leader can post a victory message - this will count as an official record of your win. Remember! After collecting eight ( 8 ) badges, you may face the Shoda League's Elite Four.
- -You may battle the Elite Four in any order that you wish.
-You may only battle each Elite Four member once per day unless that Elite Four member allows you rematches.
-If an Elite Four member does not log in for three (3) days after you challenge the Elite Four, then you may consider that a victory.
-You must restart your Elite Four progress from the beginning if you lose three (3) times anytime throughout your attempt at the Elite Four.
-Elite Four results will be recorded regardless of whether it is a win or a loss.
After defeating the Elite Four, you may face the Shoda League Champion.
